Transmeridian Group began operations as a shipping agency in February 1993. Since then, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) has been its ally, which is currently one of the most important strategic alliances of the Peruvian group.
In 2004, NYK bought shares in Transmeridian SAC, strengthening its interest in the local market. The same year, Transmeridian began to operate as a shipping agency at Callao port, covering the entire Peruvian coast with its shipping sub-agencies.
In 2005, Antares Logistics was created in order to implement the activities of the Transmeridian shipping agency, whose mission is to vertically integrate logistics operations and offer freight forwarding services.
On December 5th 2007, Contrans began operations as a storage terminal in Callao.
In April 2010, the Transmeridian Group got authorization to operate as a customs agency through Antares Aduanas, providing a full portfolio of logistics services and continuing with the Group’s strategic growth.
At present, the Transmeridian Group looks to the future and wants to become the best strategic partner in logistics for its customers.
